Gavel Club is an affiliate of Toastmasters International, the leading movement devoted to make effective oral communication, a world-wide reality. Al Khozama is privileged to be the first school to float Toastmasters International club in Dammam for teachers and Gavel club for students. This programme helps the participants in overcoming nervousness while before an audience, organize and present ideas logically and convincingly, and participate and even lead discussions or meetings.
All round development of Teachers is an ongoing process at Al Khozama International School. The teachers manage the classrooms effectively bringing an invigorating atmosphere to their classes. To improve their quality of teaching, teachers attend regular workshops and in service programmes. They are at liberty to avail information from a well-equipped library, audio visual aids and other labs. They have access to internet and web browsing to help them know more about latest trends and developments in their respective fields. Regular fieldtrips are organized for the teachers to make teaching more effective, enjoyable and collaborative.
Al Khozama International School hosted the third Peevees United Nations Simulation Conference (PUNSC) 2013 with 26 excited student delegates converged in the auditorium of Indian Consulate, Jeddah on 09th November 2013 in anticipation of becoming the cynosure of the conference themed “Unite to End Violence Against Women’.
Delegate representatives from Al Yasmin International School, Riyadh, New Al Wurood International School, Jeddah and Jabel Farasan International School, Rabigh sat shoulder to shoulder, with those of their host school to acknowledge their collaborative attempts towards solutions to diverse challenges governments across the world face.
It is a structured programme that actively engages all children making sports an important and integral part of school curriculum. They can operate in limited spaces and actively engage every child. The vision is to develop healthy and fit school children through sports that is designed around globally accepted standards offering the same rigour in sports as in academics.
Every year the B.E.S.T Cup football tournament is organized to identify prodigious soccer talents and groom them to the next level. The tournament received huge accolades and support and our students got an excellent platform to demonstrate their skills and receive the much-required exposure of playing exciting matches with other schools.
IAYP is a royal title from London meant for young people. This programme aims at motivating members to get involved in the realm of self-development through the potentially difficult period of adolescence and adulthood. The members are set to challenge personal goals for themselves in the areas like service, skills, physical recreation, adventurous journey etc. We have already put our moves in various activities such as Green Walk on World Environment Day to awaken awareness on global warming, trekking expedition at Uttaranchal in India and at Taif in the KSA.
